A RuPaul’s DragCon NYC press badge allows entry to all of the events held at RuPaul’s DragCon NYC, space permitting. Under no circumstances does a press badge allow for early entry into any portion of RuPaul’s DragCon NYC, and does not guarantee seating or, in some cases, entry if an event has reached capacity. Press badges are a courtesy and are non-transferable. Press badges do not allow for guests or child badges.
Press will not be allowed into RuPaul’s DragCon NYC prior to 9:30 am on Saturday, September 9, or during closed Exhibit Hall hours. There are no exceptions.
Wheeled carts or handcarts are not allowed in the convention center. Camera crews are free to roam the center, but cannot set up equipment in a fixed manner, or impede attendees in any way, including causing congestion in aisles.
Members of the press that want to videotape, film, and/or record any matter that will be used for commercial purposes (non-news) must first obtain written permission from RuPaul’s DragCon NYC as well as permission of any panel participants or subjects.
Names, outlets, and email addresses of confirmed press will be made available to studios, exhibitors, programming participants, etc., prior to the convention via the RuPaul’s DragCon NYC Press List.
Issuance of a press badge is at the sole discretion of RuPaul’s DragCon NYC, and may be revoked. Please be respectful of all our attendees. RuPaul’s DragCon NYC does not tolerate coverage that includes stunt type events, ambush interviewing or any sort of action that could make any of our attendees feel unsafe or uncomfortable. RuPaul’s DragCon has a zero-tolerance policy about harassing, mocking, bullying, touching or any other unwanted contact with our attendees, guests, and personnel.
