Comedian, actor, author, journalist, pop culture pundit, and radio and TV personality, Frank DeCaro has spent the last three years playing large venues across North America as the opening act for the hilarious Lisa Lampanelli.
He is best known for his 12 years as the host of the daily national radio program The Frank DeCaro Show on Sirius XM, and his much lauded, six-year stint as the movie critic on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central.
DeCaro contributes regularly to the Styles section of The New York Times. Formerly, he was a columnist there and also at Spy magazine. He is the author of five books including the pioneering queer memoir A Boy Named Phyllis, Unmistakably Mackie: The Fashion and Fantasy of Bob Mackie,The Dead Celebrity Cookbook, and Drag: Combing Through the Big Wigs of Show Business.
He is a graduate of Northwestern University and married to Jim Colucci, the New York Times bestselling author of Golden Girls Forever. The couple and their talkative Boston terrier Gabby are openly bicoastal.
